I have much to thank Dr Akram for. I had been suffering from intense and uncontrollable pain and reached a point when I could hardly move through general severe stiffness. I likened myself to being a 'tin lady'. Living on my own this was very worrying as I could barely attend to my own self care. During my consultation, Dr Akram was extremely caring and supportive quickly diagnosing the cause of these problems and subsequently he prescribed medication which brought about a rapid improvement. He now continues to regularly monitor my progress and adjust my medication accordingly.I would definitely recommend Dr Akram for his professional and excellent patient care. His kind and friendly approach was most reassuring. Also many thanks to Karen his PA for her continued support through this difficult time. It was appreciated much more than I can say!

Dr Akram went out of his way to see our son as quickly as possible. He has a very caring and understanding approach and explained everything clearly. By the end of the consultation we felt we had a clear path forward to treating his condition. His secretary Paula was also very kind and helpful in sorting appointments out.

I came to see Dr Akram feeling quite desperate after suffering chronic pain and fatigue for 3 years which was getting increasingly worse and I was getting nowhere with the GP’s after numerous appointments. He listened attentively and confirmed a diagnosis of fibromyalgia straight away which is what I had suspected. He started me on medication alongside seeing a physio who he recommended. 9 months on and the improvement has been life changing. It is a condition that will always need to be managed but I’m so grateful that I at least have a diagnosis, understand what medication I can take to help and what I need to do in future if/when I have a relapse. I wish I had found you years ago. Thank you Dr Akram and also your wonderful and efficient PA Karen.

Thank goodness for Dr Akram, he has made my life bearable again. When I first saw him I was in so much pain and unable to use my hands. With his advice and help I am now free of pain and able to do so much. He is completely professional and such a nice person that I would recommend him to anybody who needs as much help as I did. Thank you Dr Akram

At the age of 92, a widower living alone, struggling with another severe attack of rheumatoid arthritis, I was considering selling up and moving to a nursing home. In the event, I went to Dr Qasim Akram and on his medical regime I was within a very short time mobile again and able to resume my voluntary activities in the community. He is a very approachable, engaging articulate, he explained my medical situation clearly. I have every confidence in him.
